
About Andrea
Andrea Compton is a dedicated and highly skilled Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in both infrastructure finance and accounting. A proud Wellingtonian, Andrea was raised in the Northern Suburbs and educated at Victoria University, where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law, and Management. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.
Since becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2005, Andrea has accumulated significant expertise working in New Zealand and internationally, contributing to some of the country’s most prominent infrastructure projects. Her professional journey spans across a range of senior roles, providing her with the skills and vision to make informed, impactful decisions for the community.

Group Financial Controller, Strait NZ: Andrea oversaw the finances for one of New Zealand’s leading logistics and transport providers, including the recent purchase of their new ship, the Livia.

In addition to her career, Andrea has been actively involved in social netball and has volunteered as Treasurer and Grants Officer for the Mana Parents Centre, helping first-time parents navigate the challenges of early parenthood.
