On Wednesday, 10 September, I attended the Chamber of Commerce Mayoral debate.

All candidates had some good ideas, certainly worth exploring with our communities.

I didn't hear much talk of what communities want. Candidates talked about their thoughts.

  • Karl talked about his interactions with the businesses on The Golden Mile.

  • Dianne talked about understanding the inner workings of the council.

  • Ray talked about cutting unnecessary expenditure.

  • Alex talked about housing affordability and his key policy of land-based rates.

  • Andrew Little talked about wanting to engage more with the central government.
